Made In Abyss Season 2 Releases New Trailer

Made In Abyss Season 2 image

Made in Abyss is an unusual anime in the sense that it follows characters who appear to be considerably more lovely than the series' subject matter suggests. With the main character, Riko, looking for her mother in the frightening world of the Abyss, a new trailer has been released, giving fans a sneak peek at where the series will go when it premieres later this summer. The studio Kinema Citrus will once again be in charge of bringing this story to life and continuing the anime adaptation in the second season.

Made in Abyss has released a new trailer for its second season, which will air on July 6th with the episode The Golden City of the Scorching Sun:

As our Abyss-exploring protagonists continue their trek within the frightening region, the three major voice actresses for the series, Miyu Tomita as Riko, Mariya Ise as Reg, and Shiori Izawa as Nanachi, are poised to return to this fresh new adventure.

If you're unfamiliar with the story of Made in Abyss, Seven Seas, the series' official manga publisher, has provided the following official summary:

"Only one spot remains untouched in an age when the world's corners have been combed for their secrets: the Abyss, a huge cave system. Cave Raiders are those who brave the unending pits and labyrinth-like passageways. Riko, a young orphan, aspires to be a Cave Raider like her mother, and when she meets a strange robot while exploring the Abyss, she's one step closer to realising her dream!"

The first season was released on Amazon Prime, but it appears that Season Two will be released on HDIVE. We'll keep you updated if the series expands its viewing options for anime fans.

The manga series is still going strong, so there should be plenty of material for future anime adaptations.
