Ryan Reynolds Teases Hugh Jackman’s Return As Wolverine For Deadpool 3

Image
Hugh Jackman will once again portray Wolverine, as actor Ryan Reynolds shockingly announces alongside the Deadpool 3 release date. Ryan Reynolds' upcoming film Deadpool has a confirmed release date and an unexpected new cast member. The Deadpool actor made light of the protracted search for the ideal angle for the Merc with a Mouth's debut MCU feature in a video he shared on his Twitter account. It shows a workout montage as Reynolds talks about the time and introspection he put into developing the plot for the upcoming movie before joking that he had "nothing." Hugh Jackman then appears on the television in the background as he continues to say that they had "one idea." The actor responds, "Yeah, Sure, Ryan," when Reynolds asks if he'd be willing to reprise his role as Wolverine. The video also reveals that Deadpool 3 will be released on September 6, 2024, along with the surprise appearance of Hugh Jackman. Hard keeping my mouth sewn shut abou...

Ryan Reynolds calls out 'traumatic' 'Bambi' ahead of R-rated 'Deadpool' release on Disney+

Image
Ryan Reynolds has a beef with some of the cherished classics already available to stream from the House of Mouse. On Friday, the two Deadpool movies will disrupt Disney+'s family-friendly programming as the first R-rated films on the platform. "some Disney movies [that] should already be rated R for irreversible trauma," Reynolds satirized on Twitter. Reynolds displayed four limited, red rating cards for four movies that are simple to understand when taken in context.  "The following beloved animated classic should NOT be approved for all audiences be they minors, miners, or bashful," the first disclaimer states. It has a R rating "Breaking and entering. Borderline polyandry. Pretty sure those diamonds aren't cruelty-free." So, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and while the "breaking and entering" is entirely legitimate, we never learn the dwarves' marital status. Of course, if it's just seven sinful men, then maybe we should bum...

Chris Hemsworth Wants to Be in the Sequel to Deadpool 3 for a Funny Reason

Image
After more than a decade in the role, Chris Hemsworth is poised to start his next leading role as the God of Thunder in Thor: Love and Thunder. After Avengers: Endgame, he is currently one of the MCU's prominent characters with the longest run, and in Thor 4, he is ready to embark on what might be his funniest trip yet. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has a reputation for using humour throughout the past 14 years, and Thor himself has benefited from this reputation owing to his team-up flicks and 2017's Thor: Ragnarok, which is the hero's funniest solo film to date. And that's just for the characters who already exist in the MCU. This comes before another round of anticipated laughs in next year's threequels for the Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man. Later on, Ryan Reynolds will introduce Wade Wilson, a beloved character and violent, fourth-wall-breaking mercenary, into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hemsworth, who is currently attempting to secure a role alon...

Jake Tapper Doesn't Think Ryan Reynolds Should Have Been Allowed to Play Deadpool

Image
Some actors have been inextricably linked to one movie universe, to the point where they would feel out of place in another. For example, it's difficult to see Gal Gadot in the MCU, and it's nearly impossible to see Robert Downey Jr. as a DC hero. However, a few actors have succeeded in making the transition. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, for example, played Killer Croc in Suicide Squad and Algrim in Thor: The Dark World, while Josh Brolin portrayed Cable in the franchise as well as Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. However, CNN correspondent Jake Tapper has taken a firm stance against any such crossings. In an interview, Tapper examined the present condition of superhero films in depth, stating that performers should choose between Marvel and DC and stick to one of them out of principle.  "I believe that if you are in the Marvel Universe, you must have the ethics and the strength not to then walk into the DC Universe as an actor, and both," he said. It's ...

Deadpool 3 Screenwriters Tease Disney Is Allowing a Vulgar Sequel

Image
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote Deadpool 3, explained how Marvel Studios is enabling them to preserve the Merc With a Mouth's vulgarity, which was a popular formula at 20th Century Fox. While details on the third Deadpool film have been few, fans recently learned that Shawn Levy, the filmmaker of Free Guy and The Adam Project, will reunite with Ryan Reynolds on the project. The presence of Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick is also fresh knowledge, but they are no strangers to Deadpool, having written the scripts for the first two films. Because Disney is known for being a family-oriented firm, there has always been concern about how Deadpool's raunchiness would translate to the Mouse House. Reese and Wernick both confirmed that Disney has been helpful in this area. Reese told Den of Geek, "Don't worry about it." "They've been quite helpful in this aspect. When it comes to a specific joke, if we cross a line, we might hear, 'Maybe not that joke,...
