Chris Evans says he's more excited about the prospect of restoring Human Torch in the MCU than he is about resurrecting Steve Rogers. Chris Evans may make a cameo appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but not as Steve Rogers. Evans had, after all, spent a lot of time in the MCU, including starring in three of his own Captain America films. He has subsequently withdrawn from the role of Steve Rogers, with Anthony Mackie (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) set to take over as the new shield wielder in Captain America 4.
