It’s Morbin’ Time: Morbius actually became Netflix’s No. 1 streamed movie

Image
How was Netflix's Morbius No. 1? Should it have been? It makes sense, believe it or not. Let's be upfront and honest. Sony's Universe of Marvel Characters suffered another significant setback with Morbius. The film did poorly at the box office, but it still made its money back. It's hardly surprising given that it's a comic book movie. For a comic book movie to lose money, it would have to be among the worst ever made. One of the lowest rated comic book movies ever, Dark Phoenix nonetheless made its money back. Related: Thanos' Maker Guesses Which of His Characters Could Join the MCU Next Due to a meme, Sony attempted a theatre re-release. a meme that ironically made fun of the film. Sadly, they believed that people genuinely wanted to see it. Not only was that a blunder, but the film also debuted to disastrous reviews. IGN stated that it only made $289 per theatre out of the 1,037 locations where it was presented. " Despite all the criticism, the film unex...

The Boys Makes Fun of Morbius’ Embarrassing Re-Release Flop

Image
The Boys, which is only four episodes into its third season, has already crammed its latest segments with pop culture references, and the tendency is even spilling over into real-world marketing. The Amazon Original series is a dark parody of a world where superheroes are controlled by corporate giants and perverted toward evil due to their power, drawing inspiration from both Marvel and DC. Not only are the heroes of The Boys led toward their activities by their corporate rulers, but sponsorships, marketing, and approval points drive them as well. The Seven, the universe's most powerful superhero squad, is the face of Vought International's heroes, appearing in ads, reality TV shows, and big-screen films showcasing their exploits. The super-powered squad recently starred in Dawn of the Seven, a fictional movie based on Batman v Superman, Avengers: Endgame's poster, and Justice League's origin tale. Aside from that, the latest season of The Boys poked fun at all aspects...

Morbius also flops on the 2nd cinema attempt!

Image
It's no longer Morbin' time! Morbius, Sony's Spider-Man spin-off, was released in over 1000 cinemas across the United States, yet it failed to create an impact yet again! With a domestic total of $73.6 million, the Jared Leto-led superhero film earned additional $85,000 on Friday. According to Forbes, the $270 per-theater average is the lowest among the top twenty. Sony attempted to cash in on the online meme frenzy that the film sparked. Leto himself used Twitter to further entice the audience with a meme-inspired video. The Oscar winner reads the script for Morbius' sequel, titled 'It's Morbin' Time,' in this brief video. The cover page, however, reveals the satire since it names scriptwriter 'Bartholomew Cubbins,' who happens to be a fictional page and the hero of two Dr. Seuss children's novels. However, none of the efforts appear to be fruitful, raising worries about the possibility of a sequel. Both the audience and the critics panned M...

Morbius Is Bad Enough That It's Returning to Theaters

Image
Morbius is maybe the worst film that fans have ever requested to be re-released in theatres. The vampiric Spider-Man spin-off is Sony Pictures' latest wall-crawling side narrative, aimed at fleshing out the tiny characters who surround Peter Parker. Since the webhead is off having fun in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Sony Spider-Man Universe has provided as a venue for the studio to benefit from their Marvel portfolio without having to acknowledge the Marvel Studios canon (at least too much). Morbius arrived with a dismal thud, unlike the first two Venom features, which were at least financially successful. The picture was critically criticised at its initial release in April, and it also performed poorly at the box office. However, Jared Leto's blood-sucking journey has gained popularity as a meme on the internet in recent weeks. This has prompted many people to - somewhat ironically - express their delight for the film, causing Sony to act and re-release the film in thea...
