Thanos' Maker Guesses Which of His Characters Could Join the MCU Next

Jim Starlin, the creator of Thanos and Gamora, believes that the Blood Brothers might be the next of his Marvel Comics characters to appear in the MCU.

Thanos' Maker Conjectures Which of His Characters Could Join the MCU Next

The creator of well-known Marvel characters like Thanos and Drax the Destroyer, Jim Starlin, a comic book artist and writer, has made predictions on which of his other characters the Marvel Cinematic Universe will next adapt.

Several characters who would later go on to play significant roles in the MCU, including Adam Warlock, Shang-Chi, and Gamora, were created or reintroduced during Starlin's tenure with Marvel Comics. These characters include Shang-Chi, Adam Warlock, and Shang-Chi. Starlin discussed his characters' inclusion in the movie series and potential future cast members in an interview with Inverse. "I've heard Marvel may want to use some other characters I've done. I think they're running out,"said Starlin.

"Now that they've got this multiverse, there's the possibility of bringing back Thanos. And with Thanos, that opens up possibilities for other characters. There are a few that they haven't used, like the Blood Brothers."

Who Are The Blood Brothers

The Blood Brothers were created by Sterling and made their debut in 1973's Iron Man #55, where they protected Thanos' headquarters on Earth. The Thing and Iron Man battled the two enormous aliens that resembled apes before they were vanquished and punished by Thanos. The remaining Blood Brother joined forces with the Lethal League, the Hood, and Norman Osborn after Drax killed one of the twins. The Blood Brothers were a boss encounter in the Guardians of the Galaxy video game from 2021, despite not yet making an appearance in the MCU.

Eros/Starfox (Harry Styles), another recently introduced MCU character developed by Starlin, made his debut in the mid-credits of Eternals. Eros and Thanos are brothers, so they share a close relationship similar to the Blood Brothers. Starlin recently remarked that he isn't sure that adapting Starfox is such a smart idea, despite Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige having stated in July that Eros will return to the MCU. Starlin remarked,

"I have no idea what they're going to do with him, I sort of left him as a sociopath, and he's sort of a sexual predator. So I'll be curious to see how the MCU Eros fares up against the other one. Especially in this day and age, so that's always a tricky one."

Styles, who is currently embroiled in controversy over the continuing Don't Worry Darling scandal, recently made the quip that "it'd be funny" if Eros never made another appearance after the character's dramatic introduction. Styles' comeback will probably be highlighted in the impending Eternals sequel, which actor Patton Oswalt recently seemed to confirm is in the works despite the movie's unfavourable reviews.
