Marvel's Blade Script Is Reportedly Weak, Frustrating Star Mahershala Ali
According to a business insider, Blade star Mahershala Ali is dissatisfied with the script of the Marvel Cinematic Universe film.
According to a recent report, Mahershala Ali, the actor of the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film, is unhappy with the project. According to a tweet from The Ankler writer Jeff Sneider, who covers the entertainment business, Blade's production is being held up by problems with the script. The current BLADE script, according to reports, is about 90 pages long and contains just TWO (disappointing) action scenes. Mahershala has reportedly become increasingly frustrated with the process. "Feige said to be spread too thin. But hey, that's just what sources are telling me. Don't shoot the messenger." This information coincides with the report that the project's director, Bassam Tariq, has formally quit owing to ongoing production changes. Marvel Studios and Ali have not yet responded to Sneider's remarks as of the time of writing.
I’m told that the current BLADE script is roughly 90 pages and features exactly TWO (lackluster) action sequences. Mahershala said to be very frustrated with the process. Feige said to be spread too thin. But hey, that’s just what sources are telling me. Don’t shoot the messenger

Sneider went on to claim that he had heard that Blade was being written by Beau DeMayo, who had previously written Moon Knight, X-Men '97, and The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf. Although it is still uncertain what role DeMayo is playing, it is generally accepted that he is contributing to the writing.
Blade's in the Dark
It's unclear whether Tariq's decision to leave the film was influenced by the allegedly problematic script for Blade. The director made a brief statement saying that he had no animosity for the studio. Working with the fantastic people at Marvel has been an honour, Tariq added. "We were able to put together a killer cast and crew. Eager to see where the next director takes the film." The search for a new director has not yet begun.

Despite all the excitement surrounding Blade, little is known about the film. Ali has already made an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe; she can be heard speaking to Dane Whitman, who plays The Black Knight, in the post-credits sequence of Eternals. When asked how it felt to play Blade for the first time, Ali replied,
"It was scary. Because, you know, you're talking before you're filming it. I'm pretty particular about my choices, like most actors, and so having to make some choices - even with a line, vocally - this early on, it brought up some very real anxieties."
On November 23, 2023, Blade is expected to have its theatrical debut. It is unclear whether Tariq's departure will affect the publication date.
