Jason Statham joined MCU
Every working, retired, live, and dead actor will one day be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Studios has been progressively replacing its original roster of heroes with next-generation counterparts and adding in increasingly obscure characters since Avengers: Endgame in 2019. Jason Statham is the most recent addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, according to our reliable source.
This is a significant acquisition. Jason Statham has a lot of potential in the Marvel universe, since the British actor has transformed himself into one of the world's top action stars in the previous decade. We don't know who Statham might play yet, but it's reasonable to presume it'll be someone from Marvel Comics who looks fine with a shaved head and has a better cockney accent than whomever Oscar Isaac was playing.
We can cross a few names off the list of people we know will not be playing for Marvel. Black Knight (Kit Harington as of Eternals), Merlin (an actual possibility considering how much magic stuff is being introduced via Doctor Strange and The Scarlet Witch), and Captain Britain are some of the most notable British superheroes in Marvel continuity. The latter (traditionally known as Brian Braddock) is essentially the British counterpart of Captain America, thus Statham's action credentials may be put to good use.

However, our best estimate regarding Jason Statham's role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is that of Union Jack. Union Jack has been portrayed as a hybrid between Batman and James Bond in various different comics. He is a non-superpowered British secret agent who first joined the Crown's service during World War I.

The original incarnation of Union Jack, James Montgomery Falsworth, was played by JJ Feild as part of Steve Rogers' WWII-era Howling Commandos in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger.
Given that this version of Union Jack is probably in his 90s, Jason Statham could easily fit into the Marvel universe as him. Union Jack is now represented by Joseph Chapman in comic books. Chapman, unlike his aristocratic forefathers, comes from a working-class family and has martial arts talents that would perfectly complement Statham's on-screen persona.

Jason Statham's introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe will have to wait. It's possible that he'll play a whole new role, or that he'll play a government liaison (a la Martin Freeman's Everett Ross) rather than a superhero. Given his success in the Fast and Furious franchise (before it was economically and narratively expedient to convert him into Dwayne Johnson's buddy), it's highly possible that he'll be playing a villain. Regardless, the MCU will take a fresh and interesting direction.
