The Boys' Season 3 Trailer Inspires a Remarkable MCU Supercut

The Boys' 3 Marvel character

Season 3 of The Boys kicked off with a bang. The satirical superhero programme manages to poke fun at everything that happened in pop culture in the previous year in just the first three episodes. There are jokes on streaming hegemony, police brutality, the Snyder Cut, and tailored marketing strategies, among other topics. Vought Enterprises is in full-fledged crisis management mode in the third season. The public has turned against the Seven with the disclosure about Stormfront's (Aya Cash) fascist origins. Homelander's (Antony Starr) popularity rating has fallen in the aftermath of the controversy, while Starlight (Erin Moriarty) has escaped relatively undamaged, thus Homelander is keen to reclaim his audience on Vought.

Charlize Theron appears in a cameo role in the premiere as Stormfront in the latest Vought production, Dawn of the Seven, in one of the third season's most startling gags. Getting an A-lister like Theron is a significant coup in and of itself, but this isn't the first time Theron has appeared in a comic book franchise in the previous month. She also appeared as Clea in the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness post-credit scene, hinting at a key part in the MCU's future.

Despite the fact that The Boys has never shied away from mocking Marvel films, showrunner Eric Kripke told Collider that Theron's participation in the Doctor Strange sequel was purely coincidental: "I was watching [it] with my kids and when that came up, I was like, 'Yes! Yes!' So that was wonderful."

According to Kripke, Theron decided to put in a day's work after receiving a call from her co-star Seth Rogen, who also works as an executive producer on The Boys.According to Kripke, Theron's enthusiasm helped to kick off the new season on a positive note:

"I was working with her that day, and apart from the fact that she's an incredible actress, I was reminded of how funny she is. She's quite witty and has incredible comic timing, as evidenced by her sincerity in stating that the most ludicrous thing we could possibly put in her mouth was chef's kiss. I'm just grateful because it's the perfect way to start the season."

The Boys Season 3 has had plenty of gory moments in its first three chapters, but nothing has been quite as distressing as the film's eerie connections to recent events. The rest of the season will be intriguing to see how the Stormfront scandal is handled. Season 3 began on June 3 with the first three episodes, with new episodes released every Friday until the conclusion on July 8.
