Wonder Woman Cameo in Shazam 2 details

Wonder Woman makes an appearance in the DCEU sequel Shazam: Fury of the Gods, according to new footage from the Zachary Levi-starring sequel.

At this year's CinemaCon in Las Vegas, new footage from was presented. Shazam, one of the most iconic DC Comics heroes of all time, made his big screen debut in 2019. The first Shazam! film, directed by David F. Sandberg and starring Zachary Levi as Billy Batson, follows the story of a young Billy Batson who gains godlike powers that activate anytime he screams Shazam, transforming him into an adult superhero. But it was also Billy's journey of acceptance of his new family, as much as it was a heroic origin story.

Warner Bros. is continuing the Shazam adventures with Shazam: Fury of the Gods, following the commercial and critical success of the 2019 episode. Asher Angel reprises his role as the adolescent Billy, while Levi reprises his role as the adult Billy. Shazam: Fury of the Gods was originally set to enter theatres on June 23, 2023, but Warner Bros. has revised the DCEU timeline and is now bringing the film to audiences sooner. It is now scheduled to arrive on December 16th.

With fewer than eight months until the release of Shazam: Fury of the Gods, Warner Bros. is beginning to offer fans a taste of the highly awaited sequel. This year's CinemaCon is being held in Las Vegas, and Warner Bros. is one of the participating studios.Webseries News was on hand to see brand new Shazam: Fury of the Gods footage, which featured a hilarious Wonder Woman appearance. "The video footage shows Levi's Shazam eating dinner with Wonder Woman in a restaurant in Paris. The hero informs Wonder Woman that he is unable to commit, and she begins to walk away, but abruptly comes to a halt. When she turns around, it's Merlin, not Gal Gadot, who informs Shazam in a dream that the Daughters of Atlas are on their way. A massive dragon can also be seen landing near them in the film.'Lady, I've seen all the Fast and Furious movies, and it's all about one thing: Family!' Shazam says to Helen Mirren. Nothing occurs, so Shazam says family once more, and the kids all land behind Mirren one by one."

As the heroes face new enemies, Shazam: Fury of the Gods boasts a number of new cast members. The Daughters of Atlas were mentioned in the clip, which was a reference to Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu, who play the baddies Hespera and Kalypso, respectively. Rachel Zegler is entering the DCEU as the third Daughter of Atlas, which means she might be a third villain in the sequel. Her character has yet to be disclosed.

The inevitable meeting between Levi's hero and Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam occurs in Shazam: Fury of the Gods, which continues the exploits of the Shazam family. Black Adam, like the other DCEU films, was on hand at CinemaCon to show off new footage from the flick. It remains to be seen whether the December Shazam sequel will set up their future confrontation. It's worth mentioning that, like Shazam: Fury of the Gods, Black Adam's release date has been pushed back, with the film set to hit theatres on October 21, just two months before the Shazam sequel. As Shazam! approaches, only time will tell what the future holds for the two rivals. Fury of the Gods is set to be released later this year.
