Aaron Taylor-Johnson Describes the Differences Between Kraven the Hunter and Other Marvel Movies
Star of Kraven the Hunter Aaron Taylor-Johnson discusses a significant distinction between the next Spider-Man Universe film from Sony and other Marvel productions.
Star of the upcoming blockbuster Kraven the Hunter Aaron Taylor-Johnson discussed how it differs from prior Marvel movies.
Taylor-Johnson reportedly stated that the movie, which takes place in Sony's Spider-Man Universe, "is shot totally on location." If this claim is true and Kraven the Hunter does truly shoot on location rather than in a studio, it would distinguish the film from Sony's other Marvel productions, such as the Spider-Man and Venom series. Additionally, it would set Kraven the Hunter apart from other, non-Sony works, like as every movie produced by Marvel Studios.
Taylor-Johnson was recently seen sprinting down a London street in unofficial Kraven the Hunter set pictures that recently appeared online, further demonstrating the directors' dedication to shooting on location. The pictures also provided fans their finest look yet at Taylor-Kraven Johnson's outfit, which is noticeably less extravagant than the one worn by his comic book counterpart. The iconic Spider-Man bad guy appears to be wearing black suit pants and a white dress shirt in the next movie, with an animal claw (or fang) necklace acting as the only nod to his outfit from the comics. Taylor-Johnson also wore flesh-colored shoes, which in the finished piece will likely be swapped out for a digital replica of the actor's bare feet.

In April 2022, behind-the-scenes video of Kraven the Hunter's automobile pursuit scene, which was shot on location rather than a studio lot, also surfaced. Taylor-Johnson or his stunt double are seen in the video clinging to a black van as it screams down a busy London street while dressed as Sergei Kravinoff. Prior to the start of Kraven the Hunter's principal photography, the actor had previously teased that he needed to go through "a load of stunt training."
Christopher Abbott, who reportedly signed on to star as Kraven the Hunter's main antagonist in March 2022, is anticipated to appear in at least part of Taylor-battle Johnson's scenes. Although the name of Abbot's role is currently unknown, insiders close to the production believe that he will play The Foreigner, a different Spider-Man adversary.
There are additional Spidey's rogues gallery characters who appear in the film besides Abbott. In February 2022, White Lotus actor Fred Hechinger joined the cast as Dmitri Smerdyakov, also known as Chameleon, Sergei Kravinoff's half-brother.
On January 13, 2023, Kraven the Hunter will be released in theatres.
