Disney+ Reveals the Historic Movie rating for Doctor Strange 2
In the Multiverse of Madness, Doctor Strange's intensity was unlike anything else. The Sam Raimi-directed film nailed all the frightening notes, despite the MCU not having really delved into horror until to that time. It was intense to watch Stephen Strange take control of his deceased body during the full last battle at Wundagore and battle the Scarlet Witch with high-pitched, cursed spirits squealing throughout.
Many people were shocked that the film managed to go into theaters without the more restrictive rating of "R".
It managed to be one of the most violent Marvel Studios productions to date, in addition to having stronger horror imagery. For instance, Black Bolt's head plainly showed the concave scoop after his brain blew out, causing him to cave in.
Even Iman Vellani of Ms. Marvel complained that Sam Raimi "did [Black Bolt] filthy" in the scene.
The passing of the Royal Inhuman now seems to have contributed to Multiverse of Madness breaking a Disney+ record.
Characters from Doctor Strange 2 and the Mature Rating of Multiverse of Madness
After being released on Disney+, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness required an official rating for the service. With its arrival, the project was given a "14+" age classification on British platforms.
Despite having a low rating, it is actually the highest/most mature of all the Marvel Studios movies available on the programme. From Iron Man to Eternals, every other film received a "12+."

Why Did Doctor Strange 2 Get Such a High Rating?
The news is perhaps not shocking to those who have seen the movie. It's amazing the rating wasn't higher given the horrible executions of the entire Illuminati and some ferociously violent horrific visuals.
The indicators of a Marvel horror project's intensity were all but written on the wall when Sam Raimi joined the team. After all, the filmmaker is famous for the cult masterpiece Evil Dead, which deviates greatly from the typical Marvel PG-13 fare.
It's difficult to ignore the question of how dissimilar Scott Derrickson's original vision for the sequel was. Did he have a somewhat heated tale for Stephen Strange as well? Or did Raimi decide to turn it up to 11 on his own?
What future MCU film might receive a higher rating is the actual query, though. Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool 3 is the obvious choice.
The return of Wade Wilson, which is being directed by Shawn Levy, has been promised to keep its R-rated vibe. The anti-hero will therefore definitely hold the record for the greatest rating of any Marvel Studios production, assuming Disney lets him do what he wants.

Fans now only have to wait for the actual release date, which might be years from now. The title for utilisation of gore, brutality, and extreme action, however, currently belongs to Benedict Cumberbatch's solo sequel.
