Marvel fans have been vocal about their dissatisfaction with Natalie Portman's portrayal of Thor in the upcoming film in the iconic franchise.
"Thor is Thor, right? "I mean, he's a giant hammer-wielding dude with long hair," remarked Stewart James, a long-time Marvel fan.
"That is Norse mythology, which dates back to the Roman Empire." Thor is a guy at all times. He isn't Natalie Portman at all. I've read a lot of Norse mythology, and Thor has never been played by Natalie Portman.
"It's not like Thor fought the Trolls at Ragnarok and then gave his hammer to the Black Swan girl."
"Making her become Thor is a disgrace to Norse mythology's thousands of years."
"Consider yourself a Viking. 'These are my gods here, and I've never heard of Natalie Portman, so what's she there for?' you'd say, before chopping off their heads and drinking their blood from their skulls." And you'd be correct in doing so!"

Mr. James feels there is a hidden agenda at work.
"I understand what they're attempting. They're simply attempting to impose a woke, feminist agenda on the public. It's not like there aren't any female-driven Marvel movies. There was the fact that Captain Marvel wasn't present. That was reserved for females. I don't understand why someone who wants to see a woman as a superhero doesn't just go watch it.

Mr James was fine with the other alterations to the original mythology that have run throughout the Thor franchise and, indeed, the original Marvel comics, such as turning the Norse God of Thunder into a superhero in a flamboyant costume who guards the Earth.
"Yes, but none of those adjustments resulted in a female protagonist."
