"I don't find it to be fulfilling": Harry Styles Reveals He Might Not Return as Eros in Eternals 2

A prominent and well-known name in the realm of modern music is Harry Styles. However, in recent years and up until this point, it appeared as though the gifted musician was prepared to rule Hollywood and become a well-respected actor. To everyone's dismay, the singer recently admitted in an interview that he might be finished acting—at least temporarily. Marvel fans who also happen to be followers of the musician may find this to be a significant letdown because they were pleasantly surprised by his unexpected presence in the 2021 movie Eternals.

Harry Styles made his MCU debut in the brief but memorable role of Eros, brother of Thanos, interplanetary adventurer, flirtatious serial killer, and Titan's Eternal. An incredibly interesting and dynamic part to play within the brand. Many people were curious about Styles' role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after his presence in the post-credits scene. It appears that there may not be anything to watch out for.

Harry Styles Won’t Be Doing A Lot Of Acting

Styles recently linked his experiences as a musician to those of an actor in an interview with Rolling Stone. The musician, whose most recent album, Harry's House, was widely praised by critics, spoke candidly about the prospect of a career in acting. He says he doesn't think it's likely that he will "do a movie for a while." The prominent boy band member from One Direction, which has been out of the public eye since 2016, said he is continuing to put his major attention on his musical profession. What Styles said is as follows:

"I don't imagine I'd do a movie for a while … I think there'll be a time again when I'll crave it."

He also explained why he preferred his singing career to a career as an actor. He asserted that "a large part of acting is doing nothing, waiting thing." The singer said, "Which - if that's the worst part - then, its a pretty good job," with a hint of amusement. The actor is ostensibly temporarily ceasing his appearances on silver screen because it isn't a "fulfilling" endeavour. The Don't Worry Darling actor also mentioned that he enjoys performing "in the moment," but that he is currently planning to cut back on his acting.

The English singer-songwriter described music as a "really creative" process while discussing his preference for it over acting. "When you're making music, something's happening." he said. It follows that Harry Styles is undeniably more committed to his singing career than to his alleged Hollywood conquest.

Will Eros Reappear?

Eternals, a 2021 MCU project, had a generally disappointing response. Despite the film's many unsatisfactory elements, the post-credits scene and Eros's inclusion in the vast Marvel Cinematic Universe left many fans hoping for his eventual comeback. Many people believed that Styles will return to have a significant role as Eros in the upcoming Eternals 2 movie due to recent speculations. Such chances, though, seem incredibly remote at the moment. When asked about his appearance in the MCU during the same interview, Harry Styles responded,

"It'd be funny if that [the cameo] was it, wouldn't it?"

Although making such a cryptic statement, it is now unknown whether or not Styles' comeback to the franchise is fully eliminated by this. However, at this time, many fans are uneasy with the actor's statement. On the plus side, Kevin Feige has occasionally made suggestions that the path of the singer-songwriter is not yet complete. With such divergent claims, it is currently unknown what the singer's and his MCU character's future may hold.

Disney+ has Eternals, which stars Harry Styles as Eros, accessible for streaming.
