Mark Ruffalo Defends the MCU By Criticizing Star Wars

Despite having previously said that he would love joining The Mandalorian trilogy alongside Pedro Pascal (Din Djarin) and the always-popular Grogu, Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/Hulk), a favourite of MCU fans, has suddenly slammed the Star Wars world while praising Kevin Feige's Marvel films.

When asked if he believed Marvel Studios was producing too much material between its film slate and its always expanding roster of Disney+ Original programmes, the actor responded as follows:

"I understand that these things run their course and then something else comes along. But the thing Marvel has done well is that, inside the MCU, just as they do with comic books, they let a director or an actor sort of recreate each piece to their own style, their likeness. Marvel generally lets them bring that to the material."

Ruffalo continued:

"If you watch a 'Star Wars,' you're pretty much going to get the same version of 'Star Wars' each time. It might have a little bit of humor. It might have a little bit of different animation. But you're always, really, in that same kind of world. But with Marvel you can have a whole different feeling, even within the Marvel Universe."

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder are the two movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe that have released so far this year. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to release on November 11 in the MCU.

A total of four Marvel Studios films, including the much awaited Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, are scheduled for theatrical release in 2023.

Tatiana Maslany plays Jennifer Walters in the upcoming Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, in which Mark Ruffalo will reprise his role. According to reports, the series will include a number of cameos and guest roles. Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil), who made his MCU debut in Spider-Man: No Way Home, will make an appearance (2021).

The She-Hulk debut is slated on August 18, 2022.

Regarding the Star Wars universe, the Disney+ debut of Diego Luna's Rogue One prequel series, Andor, is set for September 2022.

Additionally, Season 3 of The Mandalorian will premiere in February 2023. We already know that Pascal, Esposito, Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan Kryze), Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon), and Carl Weathers (Greef Karga) will all return for the third season of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni's popular television series.
